This was an exciting and challenging project that we worked on for an office space in London. This was a collaborative project working with the talented woodsman Ambrose Vevers to design and make a very simple and natural hand rail for the entrance stairs to the space. Here is a visual story of how it all came together.

We loved how the stripped lengths looked; very sculptural.

The steam bent ash looks so beautiful in this continuous line.

The rail felt wonderful to hold, very smooth and tactile.

Fitting the ash rail certainly had it’s challenges due to it’s wigglyness !
